Parks with picnic shelters

Mason Regional Park in Irvine is a lovely regional park with a lake and multiple playground areas. Use it as a picnic spot or a family walk.

Peter Green Park in Huntington Beach is situated on a large pad of recycled rubber play surface. I has a colorful, wide-open feel.

TeWinkle Park and Angel’s Playground provide accessible play for all in a rainbow of playful colors and a nature area with lake.

Clark Regional Park in Buena Park has lakes, picnic grounds and three playgrounds plus an interpretive center. Easy hike around perimeter.

Caspers Wilderness Park’s playground off Ortega Highway outside San Juan Capistrano has gorgeous views and an old-fashioned teeter-totter.

Oak Creek Community Park in Irvine provides lots of wide open space for running out the wiggles. Plus it’s great for family picnics!
