Parks with music instruments in Orange County was the request that came in from a mom. I’m pretty sure she is looking for big musical playground pieces that make big sound, so I’ve tried to highlight those here. I’ve found there are surprisingly few. There’s a section on parks with music panels — not necessarily something you’d make a special trip to visit but you’d be happily surprised if you went and found it there.
Parks with Music Instruments in Orange County
A reader asked me to create a list of parks with musical instruments or music, in general, for her music loving child. Well, I asked all of you for your picks on Instagram and we came up with this list of 15+ parks!
Thanks to Aaron for this photo of his kids enjoying the musical instruments at Lions Park. This is the park which inspired the question to creat this post!
This park is built on the size of the old Verizon Amphitheater / Irvine Meadows and the instruments are a tribute to the musical history.
Peppertree Park in Tustin has a huge music area - so big that I couldn't fit the drums panel into the same photo as the rest of the instruments!
The instruments are in the sensory garden and they are accessible at wheelchair height.
This park is also accessible and the musical instruments are on the ground and also some drums and bells up on the ramps.
Drums and colorful tones will great you at Olympiad Park in Mission Viejo!
You feel like you can be LOUD here because you are somewhat set away from the homes.
The Children's Garden has some instruments for making music outside.
Toddler-sized bells on the left side of this photo and then some drums on the right. It's a nice and shady park, though. Fun for a visit anyways!
Crown Valley Park has a couple of drums and some sound panels (sounds of water and sounds of animals). Not many big instruments, though.
