Mission Viejo Fairy Village for the Holiday Season 2019

The Mission Viejo Fairy Village is back for the Holiday Season 2019.

The Caring Fairies will be at the Potocki Center for the Arts and the lower Oso Creek Fairy Trail for the holiday season from November 3rd though the end of December.

This post has everything you need to know about the 2019 Holiday Season.

However, if you want to learn more about the history, I wrote a very long and detailed post about the Fairy Trail Hike at Oso Creek in Mission Viejo during the first summer the trail appeared and I keep it updated.

A fairy home map can be picked up at the Potocki Center for the Arts.

But, sssshhh, I've heard from The Caring Fairies that they've already started settling into their new winter homes at the Potocki Center for the Arts’ Fairy Village.

The public will be able to visit the fairy village during the following hours from November 3rd through the end of December, free of charge at the Potocki Center for the Arts: Monday through Friday 9 AM-6PM, Saturday 10AM-4PM, Sunday Closed.

The fairies have been busy building new homes and attractions for the Thanksgiving harvest festivities and a magical Christmas holiday season.

Horseshoes, pumpkins, scarecrows, acorns and fairy pies will help create a magical fairy wonderland for all to visit!

The details always astound me! How delicate are the books? Look at that little pumpkin on the log.

How to Get to the Mission Viejo Fairy Village: From the 5 Freeway, take the La Paz exit and head east past Marguerite Parkway. Make a left just past Marguerite into the parking lot past the stores, across the creek, on your left. MAP TO THE MISSION VIEJO FAIRY VILLAGE

Did you catch that? It says "Unicorn Stables"!

I love this so much. Looks like the fairies just left.

If you never got a chance to visit the Potocki Center Fairy Village or the Oso Creek Fairy Trail, then make sure you head over this time.

You never know when the fairies might come back again.

  • Saturday, November 3rd
  • Noon-4pm
  • Over 30 local artisans will be showcasing their unique handcrafted items during the Artisan Faire.

Fairy home and garden building workshops offered at the Potocki Center for the Arts continue through the fall and winter, with the first class of the season starting this Saturday at 10 AM (Call 949-470-8470 for workshop details.)

And don't forget to pay a visit to the Wishing Seat!

Checklist:

Parking is free. If there is no parking in the lower lot, try the upper lot — or move to the playground or Village Green parking lots.

There are no restrooms along the trail, but there are restrooms at the playground.

The Oso Creek Trail is stroller-friendly, but the Fairy Trail goes off pavement.

The trail stretches about a mile long.

Potocki Center for the Arts Hours: Monday through Friday 9 AM-6PM, Saturday 10AM-4PM, Sunday Closed.

Learn more about the Oso Creek Trail (the trail eventually links up to Pavion Park if you follow the signs, but it’s an uphill hike)

Make it a play trip and pair it with the Mission Viejo Library and/or nearby kid-friendly restaurants: Bravo Burgers or Skimmer’s Panini Grill

The Caring Fairies have their own website where you can learn more about this art installation along the trail.

You can also keep track of all upcoming art events, classes, exhibits and the Caring Fairies at The Friends of the Arts.
