Laguna Beach Playgrounds and Parks
Laguna Beach playgrounds and parks make this a wonderful place to visit for families. You'll find everything from beachfront playgrounds at Main Beach Park and Aliso Beach Park to playgrounds that are high atop the coastal foothills overlooking the ocean, like Alta Laguna and Moulton Meadows. There are state beaches, like Moro Beach at Crystal Cove State Park, and perfect places to watch sunsets, like Heisler Park. Probably the most popular playground in Laguna Beach is Bluebird Canyon Park.
Although I spent my college days in Orange County, I didn't grow up here. My knowledge of beach names and locations is somewhat lacking (especially the secret ones in Laguna Beach). Our unplanned visit to Nix Nature Center on the westbound side of Laguna Canyon/SR 133 turned out to be a pleasant surprise and an awesome family outing. Moulton Meadows Park rests high above Laguna Beach. The drive up is almost as much of an adventure as the park itself. The houses are beautiful and the park rests just below the summit.
