Seely Park in Huntington Beach

Seely Park in Huntington Beach

Seely Park in Huntington Beach is a quiet neighborhood park off Brookhurst near the beach. It’s a great stop on the way to/from Huntington State Beach. There is a wide sidewalk running through the park which sits in a green space between Surfcrest Drive and Branta Circle.

Location of Seely Park in Huntington Beach: I arrived at Seely Park from the main cross streets of Brookhurst Street and Banning in Huntington Beach. Brookhurst is at the south end of the city paralleling the Santa Ana River channel. You can come from the beach end at Pacific Coast Highway. Then travel up Brookhurst until you take a left at the light on Banning. You’ll enter the neighborhood by turning right on Tide Lane, another immediate right on High Tide Lane, right on Seaside Lane, and finally take a right onto Surfcrest Drive where you can park for the visiting the playground. Highlights:

You’ll love the beachy vibe here with an area for big kids and also a playground area for 2-5 year olds.

The new playground was installed in Spring 2024 with Playworld equipment.

The big wide slide is fast and is attached to a net climber which is great for older kids.

The toddler part of the playground has lots to explore! It has so many ways to play and slide and spin and climb and move throughout the panels and elements.

There is one accessible swing and 3 bench swings.

Even though the playground is in between streets, the distance from the street is large and there isn’t much traffic anyways. There are lots of grassy areas.

There is also a half-court basketball court which isn’t really that visible from the toddler area.

Be Aware:

  • The big climber and slide are rated for 5-12 year olds.
  • There are NO restrooms since it is a neighborhood park.
  • When I was there, I noticed frequent dog walkers.
