6 Legoland California Secret Places Adults Might Find Boring, But Kids Love

Legoland California is the perfect theme park for our family — who thrills at building our own LEGO creations and marvels at how model builders can make square LEGO blocks appear round. It’s an incredible and precise talent!  But beyond “Miniland” where all the buildings and models live, there are some secret spots that we love to sneak into while everyone else waits in line for rides. These are secret places inside Legoland California where kids will love the sense of adventure and the surprise, so I’m not going to go into detail. It will be more of a scavenger hunt to get you there.

Remember, you might think these are boring (or not!) — but the kids love it so stifle that impulse to move on.  Take your time and share their curiousity.

1. The Lion Bridge

Cross it to figure out what you can see &  hear?

2. Adventurers’ Club

Can your child find all the keys? Let them lead. Take your time. (A few parts are dark and/or loud, but it’s pretty mild and designed for kids.)

3. Enchanted Walk

Cross the bridge. Did you hear it? What LEGO wildlife can your child spot? Let them lead. Take your time. Make it a game.

4. The Hideaways

Get lost in play.

5. The Dragon Headstones

You don’t need to ride the rollercoaster. All you have to do is get in line for your beginning reader to decipher the headstones.

6. The Model Shop

It looks like a storefront, but if you walk into the tunnel behind the merchandise you can see the builders – or building in progress.

It’s not that often where your child gets to lead. Let them teach YOU.  Where will they take you, if you let them? Don’t worry about how long it takes.  Enjoy the time together where you’re focused on them.
