Welcome to my blog series called: National Park Peek where I share glimpses of YOUR national treasures. Before we even left on our trip, my daughter picked the Morning Glory Pool at Yellowstone National Park out of one of our guidebooks as THE place she wanted to visit. So on a cold morning, we hiked to furthest point on the boardwalk trails to view this spectacular geothermal pool.

It obviously made an impression on her since she sketched this out before school one morning — 3 months after we returned home from the trip!

Veteran’s Day at National Parks
Today we celebrate the Veteran’s Day holiday. I believe our veteran’s are also national treasures who should be honored for their service to our country — and this weekend is one of the weekends where the National Park Service waives entrance fees to all visitors.
