Here are a ton of ideas on ways to spend your family time this weekend. I’m tend to abandon my computer and give it a little rest over the weekend, so I can really focus on family without any distractions.
Feasting
I prefer cooking with my family and enjoying a relaxing day at home. But in the past, we’ve shared our Thanksgiving meal out at restaurants with other family members. The only downside? No leftovers.
- I wrote up a Trekaroo list about Kid-Friendly Thanksgiving Restaurants in the LA Area. We often have that meal out, so I’d recommend the top 3.
- We’ve had some of our best meals at hotels that offer a Thanksgiving buffet. It’s nice to eat at the early seating and then have the latter part of the day for a stroll or hike.

I’m wishing you all a weekend filled with simple joys like:
- holding hands,
- telling stories,
- watching the sunrise,
- appreciating the sunset,
- embracing the weather,
- digging in the sand,
- tackling a puzzle,
- sleeping in,
- reading to each other,
- and plain old play.
I appreciate every one of you and I’m thankful for your readership!
