From Nature with Love

Thank you for the gift of your readership -- and for the time you take out of your busy days to take your children exploring outdoors.  I love hearing about your adventures and wish you many more memories for 2011!

My sister surprised me with this special sidebar in her annual holiday newsletter entitled "From Nature With Love":

"With a monthly Nature Play Club (NPC created by my very own sister - so proud!), we have told the boys we already gave them their gifts this year - the gift of "a love of Nature" - where we've gotten to catch lizards, find animal footprints, explore forested trails, pick wild berries, ride bikes on dirt paths, splash our faces in waterfalls and make sandcastles. Their reply: "Am I still getting my Marshmallow gun?"

Yep, that's our family humor!

But I know my nephews and children truly enjoyed our times together this year. I remember all those moments and it makes me happier than any material thing in this world. Having my sister put our experiences into words is better than any gift that comes a box wrapped up with a bow.

We'll be making more family memories over this next week, so I might be slow to put up a post before the New Year. I hope you use the website to find places to explore and play ideas to keep you having fun with your family.  Even when it's cold out! Even when you don't feel like it! Because when you get the kids outside you'll create something amazing together.
