Airport playgrounds serve as welcome relief for travel-weary parents. The playground at the Colorado Springs airport served as a highlight to many family trips. We lived there 3 years and the kids still ask if they can play on the helicopter. I just read an article in Hemispheres Magazine spotlighting playspaces at major airports in Chicago, Seattle-Tacoma, San Francisco, Singapore, and Munich. The LA Times Daily Travel and Deal Blog noted another listing of airport playspaces in their column back in December.
