Parks with picnic shelters

Valley Oak Park in Irvine one of my favorite parks for family picnics, birthday parties, and easy for watching multiple kids.

Liberty Park in San Clemente is a centrally-located park in Talega with something for every kid including swings, slides, and climbers.

Granada Park in Mission Viejo is a playground located across Crown Valley Parkway from The Shops at Mission Viejo and near Kaleidoscope.

Chapparosa Park in Laguna Niguel is all new as of September 2022 with amazing playgrounds and access to hiking trails and nature areas.

Hidden Hills Park in Laguna Niguel is hidden from a busy street and perfect for getting some wiggles out between errands.

Yorba Regional Park in Anaheim is a forested paradise with fishing lakes. Feels like Yorba Linda, but actually in Anaheim. 6 playgrounds!

Costeau Park in Laguna Hills has a treehouse theme and gets shade most of the day. See photos of the playground with shade and swings.

Moon Park in Costa Mesa is near the Santa Ana River Trail with a 30 foot concrete moon. Most use the park as a start for bike rides.

Stonegate Park in Irvine has swings, slides, climbers, spinners, and diggers. Also: basketball, volleyball, tennis, and a ball field.

Rimgate Park in Lake Forest has a basketball court and tennis court, as well as grassy areas for play with one shaded playground.
