Legoland Band Fountain Inspires Play

Legoland inspires my imagination. It seems impossible to make curvy and round shapes out of angular Lego bricks. Look at the drum. The cello. They did it! They found a way. Master Model Builders perfect the art of building circles with squares.

The musical interaction makes this fountain fun. Recycled rubber playground surfacing surrounds the fountain in all its bouncy glory. Eight yellow "stepping stones" line each side of the fountain controlling the water flow and instrumentation. I'm guilty of running up and down the line of yellow circles prompting the instruments to play at full volume in symphony with each other -- urging the water to flow higher. (Much to the delight of my kids.)

We dance around, spinning and stomping. We never tire of the silliness. We're reluctant to give up our coveted spots and move on. Happily, there are crowds of families waiting to take over so the band can play on.
